Art without Attitude. That's what you get here.
The owner Chris is very helpful and friendly and you won't get the attitude that some galleries give you because you don't "look" like you can buy art Lisa N. Stevenson Ranch
Rosalie
Rosalie has been painting for over thirty years. She is well versed in many different mediums, but prefers using acrylics, because it allows her to achieve the degree of realism and the technical effect she desires. Her painting technique is achieved by layering the medium until the desired colors are developed. The key to her successful paintings include simplicity in composition, vibrant colors, the proper use of dramatic lighting, with the sense of potential for something to happen, and capturing her subject’s emotion, which expresses itself to the viewer. Her art work continues to evolve as she experiments by adding organic materials to her paintings. It adds a 3-D quality and further fascinates her viewers and gives her work a unique signature in the art world. The response has been well received and profitable.
The artist’s love for nature and the outdoors is her inspiration and where she forms her ideas. Wildlife paintings are her main focus, yet she also enjoys creating landscapes and still life pieces. Her talents also include the commissions of family portraits as well as pet portraits, in pencil, acrylics or oils. She also enjoys teaching art in various schools and private lessons.
Rosalie, a lifetime resident of Southern California, received her formal education at California State University Northridge, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Illustration with Cum Laude Honors. Further training in illustration and figure drawing was taken at both West Valley Art School and Pasadena Art Center College of Design. For the last nine years she has been illustrating a bible curriculum for Lifegate International, which will be published in book form soon.
In December 2009 Rosalie was commissioned to do sketches which appeared in the Christmas episode of NCIS gaining her recognition in the entertainment industry.
